Meet The Team
The team behind Jeansonne Financial is made up of qualified financial professionals who are passionate about helping individuals and families achieve their ideal retirements.
James E. Jeansonne, CFP® Owner | Financial Advisor
Jimmy enjoys helping people live the retirement they want with a comprehensive retirement income strategy. He got his start in the financial industry in 1999 and opened his own firm in 2010.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional who can also offer investment and insurance products and services, Jimmy is registered as an Investment Adviser Representative. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Jimmy married Lindsay in 1997. Their two children, Abby and Ben, are students at Texas A&M University. The family are members of the First United Methodist Church of Jasper.
In his free time, Jimmy enjoys spending time with his family. He’s also a licensed pilot who likes to read and travel.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and CFP® in the U.S., which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
Laura Dunlap Client Service Assistant
Laura spent 10 years working primarily in drafting and design before shifting her focus to the financial services industry. She always had an interest in finances. When presented with the opportunity to join Jeansonne Financial, she was eager to join the team where she could help make a positive impact in an important area of clients’ lives. In her role at Jeansonne, Laura assists with scheduling, documentation and providing behind-the-scenes office support.
In her free time, Laura enjoys kayaking, gardening, daydreaming about home improvements and refinishing midcentury modern furniture pieces.
Jackie Harvey Client Service Assistant
A lifelong resident of Buna, Texas, Jackie has more than 30 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting. She spent 10 years as an office manager, overseeing employee benefits and assisting CPAs in annual tax filing and reporting. When she joined Jeansonne in 2021, she brought this wealth of financial knowledge to her new role.
Jackie enjoys spending time with friends and family outside of the office, including three children and two grandchildren.
